These letters have the distinction of being the best hate mail, I have published. I love getting hate mail. I would prefer a more reasoned discussion of the animal rights issue but then if the discussion was reasoned, we wouldn't have very much to talk about, would we?:). One of the dirty little secrets the media likes to emphasize is the notion that people who love animals are thereby kind to humans. I think the following e-mails as I add them will demonstrate that there is some real foolishness out there if not human hatred.
Now are all animal rights protest industry activists mean to people? Certainly not. I have actually met a couple that, although extremely confused in their world view, were kind sociable people. But as the pro abortionists like to argue, these animal rights activists have created a climate of hate. I just would like to expose the climate of hate created by various animal rights protest industry supporters. As a standing policy in WDC, we always respond to all hate mail. (We also respond to legitimate questions as well :) We always provide full information on how people can get in touch with us. I always include my full name, mailing address, phone number, fax number, e-mail and web site address. We have removed the e-mail address of the people who sent in this foolishness to protect them. I have also edited the format (not the content) of their letters to save space. I also include my responses. Enjoy.
We welcome the opportunity to debate animal rights protest industry proponents whenever we can. When you have a forum, feel free to let me know. Otherwise, feel free to write articles, I will try to get them published for you.

Thanks for your response. I always appreciate it when antis provide me with
further evidence of a belief that I have had for a while, namely, antis hate
people.
Nevertheless, I still think you are worth more than a billion animals. Happy
Thanksgiving.

First of all, don't tell me that trapping an animal is not painful to the animal.
It certainly is. Have you ever heard the cry of a dog when someone steps on
its paw? And that is still less painful than getting a leg or paw caught in
a leg trap. And trapping is not environmental. Animals, often the wrong animals,
are caught indiscriminately. Animals not wanted for their fur are caught in
traps. Mothers are caught only to leave their babies to die for lack of their
care. Tell me what is environmental about that?
And abortion has no similarity to animal trapping. You should not use this
issue as an argument. You are obviously grasping at straws in your efforts to
clear your conscience. But I will sat that abortion does NOT kill babies.
It keeps a fetus, which does not feel pain, from developing into a baby. An
it is far better to abort a fetus than to bring an unwanted child into this
world.
Dear Cleopatra,
Find me one place on my web site where I say that a foothold doesn't cause
pain to the animal.
Second, Feel free to read a little more before you go into your animal rights
mantra. Did you know that footholds have helped reintroduce the river otter
to N.Y. and Missouri? I wonder why no one in your anti group never bothered
to tell you that? Did you know that a study done found that catching otters
in footholds caused less lifetime damage to the animals than catching them in
a hancock live trap? Feel free to visit my web site and find the references.
You would know how environmentally sound trapping is if you would learn a little about population dynamics and damage control. Anti regulations force people to ravage the environment to stop animal damage by using poisons, pesticides or habitat modification, Ie. further development.
As for the fetus not feeling pain? How do you know how much pain it doesn't feel? I guess you haven't heard of partial birth abortion.
Happy Thanksgiving.
